The Angler’s Report
Your catch. Your photos. Your fishing story.
Live here or just visiting? The Angler’s Report is a fun place to send in your fishing pics and tell us about your day. Share what you caught, what bait or lure you used, and the general area you fished around St. Pete, FL, the Gulf Beaches and Tampa Bay. Fishing somewhere else? Our Other Fishing Locations section welcomes your story, too.
First vacation catch or another great day at your favorite spot, we’d love to see it. Shore, pier, kayak and boat anglers are welcome. No expert report required, just your own fishing experience. Even a day without a catch can make a good story.

What did you catch, and what bait worked?
Send your pics, the date you fished, the general area, what you caught, and the bait or lure you used. Add a few words about your day. Weather, water or tide notes are welcome if you want to include them, but this doesn’t need to be a technical report.
Sharing your name is optional. If you’d like a name credit, tell us the name you want displayed; otherwise, we’ll publish your report without your name. Let us know whether you’re a local or visiting angler, and include a short caption for each photo. You do not need to share an exact location or a secret fishing spot.
Give your bait or tackle shop a shout-out
Picked up bait or tackle for your trip? Give the shop a shout-out! Tell us its name, location, and what you bought. If the shop helped you choose bait or tackle, feel free to share that part of your day, too.
Spotted big, fresh, lively shrimp, live pinfish or fiddler crabs in a shop’s tanks? Shout out the bait and where you saw it, even if you didn’t buy it. It can be the shop where you picked up your supplies or another shop you visited. Include the shop’s name, location and the date you saw the bait, and make clear whether you bought it or simply saw it in the tanks. Your observation describes that visit, not a promise that the bait is still available.
Planning a winter sheepshead trip and looking for fiddler crabs? A recent bait-shop shout-out can be a helpful lead. If you bought or saw live fiddler crabs at a shop, share the shop’s name and location, along with the date and approximate time of your visit. That helps fellow anglers know where to check. Bait availability can change quickly, so contact the shop directly to confirm current stock before making the trip.
A featured report can include a simple credit: “Bait & tackle shout-out: [Shop name, city].”
Shout-outs are optional. No purchase is required to send a report, and mentioning a shop does not mean it is a partner or contributor. It’s simply a friendly way to recognize the people who helped you get out fishing or share a great bait selection you saw.
Shout-outs are for positive recognition. We will not post negative comments or reports about bait or tackle shops, their staff or other people. Complaints and negative reviews are not the purpose of the shout-out. An honest story about a slow fishing day is still welcome.
Send in your pics and your day’s fishing report
Email your report and attach the photos you would like us to consider. Use “The Anglers Report” as your email subject line. Include your optional bait or tackle shop shout-out if you have one. Please send only photos you took or have permission to share, and confirm that we may publish your report and photos on this website. Let us know that the people pictured agree to being featured. Please leave private contact details out of your report.
We review submissions before posting and may follow up to clarify details and agree on edits or photo use. Sending a report does not publish it automatically or guarantee that it will be featured.

Your day on the water, clearly dated
Featured reports will show when the fishing took place and when the report was posted. Each report shares one angler’s experience, not an area-wide forecast or a guarantee of what’s biting today. No angler reports have been added to this page yet.
