SCO Beach Fishing | Monthly Gatherings & Guided Trips

Good company. Sandy feet. A few hours with a line in the water.
Meet SCO Beach Fishing, a new beach-fishing club from Sunshine City Outfitters. We’re bringing people together once a month for a few relaxed hours of beach fishing, sharing stories, and enjoying time by the water.
New to beach fishing? Come meet other anglers. Already have your own setup? Bring it along and join the fun.
What to expect at a gathering
A relaxed few hours on the sand with other people who enjoy fishing and caring for our shoreline. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand. Come introduce yourself and enjoy some time by the water.
- Arrive and say hello. Find the SCO host when you get to the gathering. If you need a loaner rod, ask what’s available. Rods are first come, first served in person, with no reservations or guarantees.
- Settle in and wet a line. Bring your own fishing setup or use an available SCO rod during the gathering. Some starter bait will be provided, and you’re encouraged to bring extra bait, your own chair, and snacks or beverages.
- Give the beach a little care. Join in some optional litter pickup around our fishing area. SCO will have buckets, gloves, and a couple of shared trash pickers available.
- Head home with good memories. Return any borrowed gear to the SCO host before leaving and help leave our gathering area clean for the next beachgoers.
This is a community gathering, not a private guided fishing trip. Enjoy the company and the experience; catching fish is never guaranteed.
Monthly beach-fishing gatherings
Our monthly gatherings are drop-in events. No reservations, no rod holds. You must show up in person to receive an available loaner rod. Sunshine City Outfitters will provide fishing rods for use during the gathering at no cost, on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is limited and a rod is not guaranteed.
What Sunshine City Outfitters will bring
- Fishing rods to use at no cost during the monthly gathering, first come, first served.
- Some free bait to help get the fishing started. Starter bait is limited, so bring extra if you plan to keep fishing.
- A bait cast net and sandflea rake for shared use, subject to availability.
- Lighting and headlamps for night-fishing gatherings, available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A cooler of bottled water.
- A limited number of camp-style chairs.
Loaner equipment is for use during the gathering and must be returned to SCO before you leave. Bringing your own rod, chair, and night-fishing light is a good idea if you have them.
Fish together. Give back together.
SCO Beach Fishing is also a community involvement event. We encourage everyone to spend a little time picking up litter in and around the beach area where we’re fishing. A few minutes and a few helping hands can make a difference for our shoreline, our neighbors, and the next group of beachgoers.
Sunshine City Outfitters will provide 5-gallon buckets, gloves, and a couple of trash-picker claws for use during the gathering. Cleanup tools will be shared as available. Whether you pick up a few pieces along the way or spend a little time helping before you leave, every bit counts. Let’s leave the beach cleaner than we found it.
Collect only ordinary litter that is safe to handle. Leave needles, sharp objects, suspicious containers, and other hazardous items untouched and let the SCO host know. Give wildlife space and leave natural beach materials where they belong.
Bring a little beach comfort
Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and beverages for themselves and, if they wish, something to share. Pack for the conditions, bring sun protection for daytime fishing, and help leave the beach cleaner than we found it.
When and where?
Our first gathering’s date, beach location, meeting point, and start and finish times will be announced here once finalized. Night fishing will be offered at selected gatherings, not necessarily every month.
